Default HELP fiting VE wheels onto a VT wagon

    Hey guys
Fist off sorry if this is in the wrong section please move to correct one if it is
Ok so my dad just Purchased a new set of rims for his VE sv6 commodore and he said I could have the stock wheels off it for my car
Now we know they need to be machined in the center of the wheel but buy how much? I have seen many cars with these wheels.
Also my locals Tyre shop said that they will hit the strut but I have seen many of the same cars in my area with these wheels while out driving (carnt ask them lol).
Anyone with Knowledge on this or has done it to there car please let me know what is the go on how to go about this
Thanks in advance for your answers
    Cheers

THESE ARE THE WHEELS I WANT TO PUT ON MY VT

that little lip on the inside of the hub on the wheel has to be machined flat then will bolt on but u need the vt-vz factory alloy wheel nuts cause they have the big flange to suit the ve wheels that have the 14 mm hole where as the vt will have 12mm studs..... also the tyres will be wrong and yes will rub on the strut just get some 235/40r18 onto the ve wheels..... i have done this complete exercise on my old vl with some ssv wheels and on my mates vt with these 18's and both worked really well hope this helps gl

Yep 87Lag is exactly correct. I was gonna put the exact same rims on my VU (but ended up selling the ute before I got it done lol) The centre hole needs to be machined out 5mm. Its 65mm to fit the VE hub but your VT will have a 70mm hub. Also as was said, you'll have to buy a different nut set as they went to 14mm on the VE's. And different rubber. You need lower profile tyres (like the 235/40r18's mentioned)

Maybe jack your car up and measure your hub just to make sure but yeah mine was def 5mm. Also the nuts you have off your Dads VE, wont fit your studs, as your studs are 12mm, and the original VE nuts are 14mm
