VT no reverse ?

Gday, thinking of buying a automatic 98 VT commodore, all forward gears are working fine but it has no reverse.. does anyone know if im in for a full tranny rebuild or is there something i can replace to fix reverse... Thanks in advance

Id be leaning towards swapping the transmission...I bought a second hand vx trans here in Adelaide for about 400 bucks last year for my old vs.

It could come good with a service though, how many kays are on the car and has it had a hard life?

From what I have found reverse is usually one of the first gears to go in a gearbox that's on it's way out. But before you get it checked out make sure the fluid level is at the correct level and not burnt.
