Once they go off they need to be replaced. There is a charge in there just like in an airbag.
Pick one up from the wreckers, just make sure its a car that hasn't had the airbag/pretensioners go off.

Try and get one out of a car that the airbag hasent gorn off in, and you should have a high chance at it being still good, i just chased 1 down from commwreck in sydney for $40 and $10 freight
