need help installing new head unit in holden VX

heyy guys me and my mate bought a brand new head unit last night to replace me stock head unit because we are about to install subs and stuff
we tryied to wire the new sony xploud head unit and it does not turn on we even replace a new fuse for the stereo can people PLEASE HELLLLLPP can you guys give me wiring help, diagrams tutorials ANYTHING were stuck and my car doesnt have a headunit ...

the esay way is to buy one of them pluh harness things for auto barn / supercheap that are universal for most cd players, u just have to ask for the right one for u model on car. like $18 bucks.

How exactly did you wire it in? Should just be a matter of unplug the old standard one from the plug at the back of it, plug that connection into an off the shelf adapter (usually rrp $20ish) and plug the other end of the adapter into you new HU.

Did you connect the acc AND + wires up? that's my guess, oh and does the earth lead have a good connection?

have a look in the car audio section theres a wiring colour thread stickied. just compare that to the wiring diagram that came with your new HU. where abouts are you? if you're nearby ill come give you a hand.
