I have been wondering for years now why my VT has no light on the dash to tell me if a door is open, ajar or not closed properly.
Every other car I can think of has this safety feature but not mine ??
Does the VT2 Calais have this feature & the bulb is blown or what ???
If not, can it be retro-fitted ?.....
Comments please......

Funny, I only just noticed this on my VY the other day, after about 3 months of owning it.
Would be interested to see if they have it or the bulb is blown. Although I took a quick look in the owners manual, and there didnt seem to be mention of it
does your interior light work? yes? there you go, door open light. extra one on the dash is overkill
WH Caprice doesn't have it either. a bit behind the times. Many japanese cars have it though as well as seatbelt warning.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
i was wondering the same thing with my VT berlina :/
You need a light to tell you that a door is open/not shut properly?
Haha *facepalm*
What does shit me is when cars beep cause you left the light or something on, How about they replace the beeper with a switch that turns the lights off?
That's one thing that's better about the Commo's, they turn the lights off instead of beeping!!!
The Calais should have the seatbelt light but as far as I know none of the VT's had a door ajar warning.
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere
One look in the side mirror tells me if the doors are shut or not, you can see if one is not shut properly.
