Default VX deadlock stuck on rear passenger door

I've been searching the database for a few days now looking for answers but nothing has come specific to my problem.

The rear passenger door on my Aclaim wagon has the deadlock stuck in lock position. It started not locking and unlocking via the remote early Thursday monring. That night I deadlocked it as it was on the street and now cannot open the door at due to the deadlock. All other doors work perfectly, just this one door I cannot get the deadlock off.

I've tried using the key and even bought a new battery so the voltage is not a problem. I've stripped back the wires going to the actuator via the front passenger door area and all seems fine. I have taken teh door trim off teh other rear door to see what I could do. I'm prepared to sacrifice the door trim to get it unlocked, but apart from that adn braeking the rods inside the door, I'm stuck to where to go from here.

Visited the local Holden dealer and although they were helpful ,they were as puzzled as I am as to how to fix it.

    Any help is appriciated.

A similar thing happened to my daughter's Mazda 3, Mazda got the door trim off by first remove the the rear seat to give them access, so they then could remove the door trim without damage. Not sure what the did after that but might be a way for you to get the trim off with out damaging it, then go from there.

This happened to a mate - they butchered the door trim to get access. Dunno if it's possible any other way, but door trims are cheap enough second hand...

I guess the real question is - how to unlock the door once access is gained ??
I would start by 'plumbing' 12v straight in to the actuator - failing that, cut the rods and remove it.

My mates VT had no deadlock on his rear passenger door after it was 'fixed' but the door lock worked fine.

this can be done. as has been suggested already you can remove the rear seat base & back to allow greater access to remove the trim from the vehicle. the other thing i have done before is disconnect the wiring to the door allowing me to unlock the door manually(this doesnt always work). the final option is if you look on top of the door trim you will see a thin rubber/metal strip between the door glass & the door trim. carefully pry this up. this will allow you access to the door internals to unlock & open the door. this does work for me everytime i have done it. its alot worse when a door wont unlock & its been smashed in,thats real fun & games
