    Default vt help

    hey

im new and i looked around before posting this but couldnt find anything.

i have a 99 vt v6 5 speed, and once i hit about 4000 revs it seems to hit a flatspot, and loses power,
it concerned me abit but i was told that they are rev limited or something?

i was wondering is this true?
if so how do i change it so that its not limited at all.

    cheers

will it go over 4000rpm at all? does it happen all the time?
does it do it out of gear well?

it goes over 4000, but its a noticable power loss and doesn come back so no point going past 4000,
ive been told that its from factory????

its annoying as i wish to play around with the car to get the most out of it till i get my black license and can either drop a v8 into it or get a new car.

Mine kinda does this...not bad but you can feel it. Its due to have the plugs & leads changed but I dunno. I did notice that if i run it on high octane premium it seems to fix it. Give premium a try. Rev limiter is 5700rpm im 99% sure.
