has the vt belina got a push button twice locking system??
wat im trying to say is..i push it once to unlock the drives side again for all doors... i press the lock and it locks the door.. but i was told that if i press the lock again it will deadlock however.. id ont know if this is true and i tried it and didnt hear anything...
yeah my acclaim dose it, press it twice and ya can not unlock it from inside, when ya lock it twice the blinkers stay on longer too, (don't flash) do it and see if you can open it with your hand from inside
second time i press t notng happens and ijust tried wat u said and tey could unlock it
thats a bit crappy, ripped off, mines only a series 2 vt acclaim and i got it, ya would think a higher range model would too.
ya can do it manually too with the key in the door, just turn it to 'lock' twice.
i tried that too and it didnt work :S.... im pretty sure they are ment to.. ill speak to thperson i bought it from 2morro. got any other ideas ppl?
so i tried the key and i thnk it deadlocked... but definitely the button didnt deadlock it.
i have a series 2 berlina and it has the lock twice when u press the button twicemaybe with urs lock it with the remote then put the key in and deadlock it.
what ya sent in the pm is right. ya should be able to lock someone in it lol, when its dead locked ya cant open it with the knob inside, has to be unlocked with the key or remote.
well if urs has the lock twice button vtbaby then mine should... unless mines ust a series one... but i got series 2 lights and side indicators but someone could of changed it.. ill have to check it out properly and make sure its a series 2..
and stock vt yeh no1 wanted to come outside last nite so i couldnt try the deadlock thing ... so ill try that tonight.. im pretty sur it is deadlocking with the key.
not neccessarily, a mate technically had a vt s2 ss but it still had the 5 ltire, vin pointed to it being a series 2 also.
He wasn't able to deadlock the car either by remote, maybe yours is one of the first batch of series 2's
Chev badges are an instant fail
Highly unusual, the VT II had the LS1 engine, if it had a 5.0L then it should have been a VT I.
Maybe the VIN was in the series 2 run but the car itself was one of the last of the series 1's.

I have a Series 1 Exec and it has a double lock system, to the best of my knowledge all VT's did. Given mine was one of the earliest of the base models, you'd think yours would be fine. Perhaps a problem with the central locking system?

Timmy was a chemist's son, but Timmy is no more, for what he thought was H2O was H2SO4...
yup. VT series 1 you use the key to deadlock.
VT series 2 they introduced the double tap on the keyfob to deadlock
yep, my vt Series 2 has the double lock system.
thanks for the replies. pretty sure mines a series one but she sure looks like a 2
