ok so i got a new car the other week its a vt v6 when i went to look at the car it had a big missfire and the sales person said it was due to the car being detailed so i said if they can fix the problem i will take the car so they got back to me and said it was the coil packs and leads so they replaced them and on my way home with the car it started to play around again so my mate looked at the car and said it has a code 48 and 49 and said to replace the crank angle sensor so i did and it still was playing around so i have also replaced the battery ,fuel filter and cleaned the throttle body and the problem is still there and so are the codes
symptoms are:hard to start
ruff idle
loss of power
feels like its going to stall at times
thanks josh
today i went to go start my car and it wont kick over the starter motor is going strong but i can hear the fuel pump and im not getting any spark
take it back to the dealer under warranty
car came with no warranty
if you by a car from a dealer i believe you get a 30 day warranty,
i've never bought a car from a dealer but this is what i've heard so wouldn't hurt to look into it
how much did you pay, what state are you in, and was it a genuine dealer with an LMCT ??
it was a holden dealer in noth sydney it was up for $5800 got it for $4600
If a vehicle is more than 10 tears old or has more than 160000, no warranty applies in NSW. I'd still go back and ask them to fix it properly this time. If they refuse, let them know your problems are being discussed on this forum. They might take the hint if you let them know their name hasn't been mentioned YET!
good news peeps touch wood bit i thin i have fixed the problem i changed the dfi module and bam the car runs like a dream thanks for your help everyone but as for me being myself having a very short fuse i think im best to leave it with the dealer as is im just happy my car is running good so now i can get down to some crusing
Wat do u mean it runs like a dream how does it run better precisely ?
ohhh it dosnt feel like its going to stall and no more miss fire
