Default Replacing Engine Mounts (anyone in Adelaide?)

I suggest you call up and see how much you can get the mounts for first. then call and ask how much for labour! this way you can work out who is ripp'n you off.. gslrally. com or similar just quoted me $90 for the pair of front mounts. which is good i think.
I am actually going through the same ordeal but in Darwin, and i have an unknown engine oil leak that seems to be coming from the transmission/transfer case. idk what the **** to do. Anyways on other posts in the forum guys are replacing them in a few hours, so if you get quoted more than say 4hrs then go elsewhere. Sorry if doesnt help much!

hi mayes im in victor harbor and same problem here, sump is rubbing on k-frame, i got quoted $82 from local supplier here, then got quoted $300 from mechanic to have them installed, although the $300 was including them buying the mounts themselves, so im guessing a fair bit less supplying own, im yet to go back and ask how much with my own supplied mounts

300 is very cheap. if you get the mounts yourself make sure you get the oil filled ones. same as genuine ones. i payed $90 for some from motor traders, not genuine but are oil filled at trade price, and it usually takes a few hours to do. most places charge 3-4 hours to do them. if you have ever done them then you know they arent the nicest thing to do, just need to know the tricks and have a hoist and they aren't to bad.

Is it oil or transmission fluid that is leaking out. You should be able to identify it by colour and or smell. If engine oil it may be your rear main seal (rear end of crankshaft) that needs replacing. Job can sometime be done by dropping sump otherwise it means lifting engine out of car. A big job.

It's engine oil for sure, but I just had my rear seal fixed??? And befor that I done rocker cover gaskets. I am now thinking that my sagged engine mounts might causing the problem(when i jack up the car(put on stands) and wipe the oil while running the carit doesnt leak at all. Only when there is movment in the motor/car). ANY SUGESTIONS!!

Inlet manifold/valley gasket could be leaking.

Ever had a nut seize on and have to remove the entire bracket? Makes just doing the mounts seem like a walk in the park.

    UPDATE:

Well i had my engine mounts and 3 idler pulleys + drive belt done today at All Holden Spares, in Lonsdale. I am extremely happy with the job done, my engine has never seemed smoother and quieter, very good price too.. $250 to do the mounts supplied and fitted.
