Default LS1 Misfiring after installing extractors

I got a set of extractors installed & now the car is misfiring under load

If I drive it around normally I have no issue but when I put my foot down to pass a slower car it's starts spluttering & I lose power and it's starts backfiring until I back off of the throttle

Mafless tune was done with standard headers attached

    My car

    VT SS II
    Mafless Tune
    OTR
    2.5" Cat Back
    Standard Cats
    2.5" Tri Y's

I had no problems until I got the extractors installed

    Please Help
Thats What I'm Talking About !!!

check all your leads are on properly, they could of been moved around with the fitment of the extractors

    misfiring or backfiring???
    perhaps check your
your oxygen sensor, might be playing up or not installed properly, or your spark lug lead/spark plug has been damaged

It will most likely be the spark plugs and/or leads.. I'm guessing a lead may have gotten damaged..

Sometimes the porcelain on the plugs can be cracked. Pull them out and check them. After 7 years without, i put on extractors and my original oxys are still used. They sometimes get stuck and can get damaged when pulling them out.

I would check the plugs too, I have seen a few get cracked removing and replacing them when fitting extractors. Leads can sometimes pull away from the connector when removed from the plugs too, so that could be your problem. Check them with a multi meter, the one that has zero resistance will be the culprit. The spark will jump fine while there is no load on the engine, but once it loads up then it will misfire.

I changed the plugs today, But still have the same problem,

So I removed all of the leads & reconnected them & it helped a bit so I'm going to replace them tomorrow

The new set of leads don't have the removable metal sleeve like the factory leads

Do I reuse the metal sleeves or not ????

just in regards to this. if you have an otr, mafless tune, 2.5in cat back. then you install headers.

do you need to get a new tune? or is it only once you install a cam that the tune needs to be re done?

you can have it retuned but only if they would do it for free - not worth it if you have to pay

Well the tune an otr should net you 15-25rwkw, The exhaust will get you another 10-15rwkw if re-tuned maybe 5-8rwkw if not. These are just ball park Figures.

You really should have done all the bolt on mods 1st then got the tune done, because to get the most out of the exhaust you will need a re-tune.

Also im fairly sure that the 'headers' on the vz ls1 clubsport are the same cast mainfolds that your vx ss have so no better the vy clubsport had ture headers. so what im saying is you will still need a set of headers. (I could be wrong)
