Hey guys,
Just having some problems with my sunroof at the moment, it got stuck open the other day and took it to "the sunroof centre" in noble park where they managed to get it closed so i could at least drive without a sheet of plastic over the roof. Booked her in to be looked at, they tell the mechanisms that open/close it or whater they are called, that one needs to be replaced. and if one needs to be replaced, they also have to replace the other. they quoted $450. am i being ripped off? cos that seems a little excessive to me =(
thanks
I had a sunroof that got stuck open once, same deal, never got if fixed tho. To fix it they would have to pull the roof lining off and unbolt stuff, plus the cost of new parts. These sunroofs are around $2000 to $3000 to get fitted new so I don't know if they are ripping you off or not, but it sounds like it would be the average cost.

^^ Good idea, second opinion. Try taking it to a Holden dealer and see what they say.
Mine's booked in on Friday for something similar, all up it's costing me less than $200. Mine might have a different issue to yours, but there's no harm in having them look into it

The VZ is here! About time!
thanks guys, i'll drop by a dealership when i got some spare time.
they guy also mentioned that a few cars with hail damage came in and had to have the sunroof replaced, so chances are i could get second hand parts, still a couple of hundred bucks. not like there are too many places dealing with these issues, hence of course the price :/
