I'm In adelaide Mate, So can't recommend anyone too you, But A family friend's been in the LPG buisness for a very long time, His license for it is heaps old....

I've never personally had any problems with LPG on my cars or my parents cars, We always have LPG on our vehicles, You do get the odd Converter ****ing up and Some other things, But if it's done properly I personally don't think it'll do you harm mate.

Although gas does take some power away from your vehicle, You can tune them to either be a little slower, But better on fuel accomedation etc, The system I have on mine at the moment is Sprintgas and I don't see myself changing to a different system, Go to someone who people on here recommend, They should be alright and not dodgy mate...

I don't perticually know a hell of a lot about LPG even though I'm around the buisness Almost daily, But I've never heard of an engine breaking through LPG, But that's just my views.

I've also heard the rebate maybe going soon, I'm not 100% sure on this though, But It's the right time to put your car on if you are indeed really wanting better $$, I highly recommend it if done right.

Hope I've helped as much as I can...

The rebate will drop from $1750 to $1500 as of July 1 this year so try and get in quick.
I just had my VX converted by South East LPG using an IMPCO style system a few weeks ago and so far it has been great. They had a special on a few weeks ago and out of pocket was $300 which I have already saved in not using petrol.
Another company I used about 2 years ago was Easy Gas Conversion who put a Sprint system in my Magna, that also ran well and had no dramas.
I see a lot of cars with LPGAS1 stickers, I remember talking to them when researching for the the VX and they seemed good but not the cheapest but I beleive they were using genuine IMPCO equipment.

Best is to ring those listed above and google another couple get get a list of 5 or so. Obviously price is important but ask about the equipment being installed specifically such as tank, vaporizer, mixer, switch and guage, warranty etc. You should have a good idea who you feel comforatble with using after that.
