    Default VX SS Series 2

Going to look at this on the weekend.

    VX SS

Is there anything in particular I need to be weary of when inspecting?

Square rotor complex... check the brakes and see if they shudder at all, both light and heavy braking
Make sure it has a spare wheel (with tyre) jack and jack handle!!!
    Make sure the radio/cd-player/stacker works.
    Make sure the sunroof works.
Check all the interior and backlights work.
Feel the inner and outer edges of the front and back tyres to see if there is any feathering, that is one edge of the tread feels raised above the rest - this is a sign the wheel alignment may be out.
Pop your head under the rear and see if the rear bumper spacer/filler is there, and see if you notice if any under panels/liners have been replaced.
Check the fuel filler release flap works and you can remove the fuel cap!
Check all the windows work, from all switches
Check all doors open and close from inside and outside
Make sure the air-con works and gets cold

These are all the things that can cost big money down the road, so you want the dealer to fix them before the sale.

Oh, and check the last service in the log book matches the KMs on the Odometer (ie last service was 100,000km but the car has now down 130,000)
I haven't lost my mind, it's backed up on tape somewhere

Also when driving it, at around 30km/h acclerate slightly and then brake, then accelerate again, if you hear a thud from the middle in the rear then the diff mount is probably shagged. Check for corrosion on the battery terminals too, this can be a sign that the battery is on it's way out.

Thanks for the replies guys. The interior in the SS was a little tired. Ended up getting talked into a 2002 R8

All things going according to plan should pick it up next weekend.
