    Default VT seatbelts

    hey

just quickly, its a niggly little thing that annoys the shit outta me and i can survive without fixing it but i was wondering if theres a way to fix the rollers (im guessing?) for the seatbelts in a VT Acclaim?
the seatbelt havent rolled up properly for a while and they only do when i practically feed it in or hold it at a certain angle, so any guides or suggestions would be welcome
    Cheers

I have the same problem with my driver's belt. I haven't got around to fixing it yet but when I do I will pull the retractor part out, give it a good clean and lubrication and that should fix it.

Good luck. Seatbelts aren't designed to be disassembled and repaired, and it is illegal to do so for safety reasons. It may feel like it works properly when bench tested, but may fail under crash conditions.
All the internals will fall apart if you are able to unlock the metal tabs. Pull it apart to learn by all means, but have a new one to replace it with.

I don't intend to pull the ratractor part apart, only unbolt it, pull the belt out as far as it will go, clean all the dirt and dust out and lubricate the moving parts. Which is what I said in my reply to the OP. I don't foresee any problems there.

No problem, I'll get around to it soon because it is annoying. It may not fix the problem but you never know unless you have a go.
