Hi everyone completely new to this, wondering if anyone could help me understand why my VX is behaving like a dog. only had it 2 weeks, on the 3rd day broke down, mechanic said coils, got them and the module underneath changed. $600 later, problem comes back next day, not happy, next mechanic replaces leads and plugs, that prob goes away but now its rough as guts at idle and intermittently loses heaps of power. idle up motor replaced, made it worse, injectors cleaned, no difference. mechanic now spent about 15 hours on it and its worse than when they started. any ideas anyone?
thanks in advance,
jimmy
try checking the error codes 1st, read thru it and it will tell you exactly what to do.
Checking error codes VT/VX
also when you turn the key to reds can you hear the fuel pump, should hear it prime for about 2 secs, and have you changed the fuel filter?
atleast you know that once you find the culprit the car will be sweet for some time as all the important stuff has been renewed.

I'd start with a new mechanic. He could of checked the spark before spending ridiculous amounts changing the coil packs. Or even used a working spare to check them with.
Yes first check codes.
