today after work i started my car and the abs and traction control dash lights wouldnt turn off what dose this mean has this happen to you before

well considering they are both controlled by the abs pump i would start there.. any plugs loose? leaking?

it will be your abs module for sure, its happened to me too

ok thanks guys i drove the car again and the lights didnt come on so ill give it a week and see what happens

Mine comes on every few months and then when I restart the car it goes away.

DITTO!...Mine also will come on every day or so for a several weeks, (will go out upon re-start), then nothing for more than 5-6 months. Then the warning lights will start coming on again for the same period as before. Been doing this for more than 5 years.

i had the same problem in my car, but would only come on when the car was heating up/overheating ? then would go away when i restarted the car

I am wondering what it would have cost you all if you had gone to your friendly local Holden dealer to get the problem diagnosed? Which is what the manual recommends.

If it happens more frequently then I will but at the moment it happens once or twice a year and disappears as soon as I restart.

Same problem in my car. only happens once every few months and goes away on restart. i wouldn't worry about it :P
