Hi all, couple of months ago i fitted an XFORCE twin 2.5" exhaust system to my WH Statesman, i ended up going with the resinators for the rear, but im not happy as the drone is absolutely doing my head in lol, so id like some ideas on what i could do to reduce the droning, should i just get rid of the resi's and go the (rear) muffler? What kind of sound would i get from straight out pipes? Would it drone more or just be "loud"? (Engine is standard LS1). Thanks in advance.![]()
anyone ????????????
Get rid of the X Force....they are shocking for drone.
I've got X-Foce Twin 3" on mine, with rear resi, It doesn't drone at all.....
Maybe point your tips towards the road a bit, otherwise, Body deadener everywhere......lol.
My VY had twin 2.5" and to get rid of the drone I added twin 2.5" Hotdogs just b4 the rear resi, really cleaned the sound up :-)
If I'm not pulling Toyota's out of the Bush, I'm pulling 12's in the Sig :-)
yea get rid of the x force. straight pipes would be much louder and the drone would be much much worse
i agree....thats why you see too many xforce exhausts on ebay..!!...my advice go to glenroy exhausts in campbelfield....very good custom fit...
im spewin now i only just had the thing fitted lol
to each their own i suppose, i just fitted a twin 2 1/2" supercat cat back with straight through tail pipes, and i love the sound, it only drones at 2000rpm when cruising which is well above the speed limit so it doesn't affect me :P
id love to hear mine with straight through pipes, but the way it is now....man its just crazy lol
Haha chuck up a youtube video or something of it :P Never heard an X-force.
well ill be honest, it sounds great if i sink the boot into it.....but at a certain rev range it gives me a migrane lol
