WH STATO L67 - Rough idle, power loss, surging. ANY IDEAS ??

Hi guys,

Just seeing if anyone has had the same problem or similar with the cars.
Just recently the stato has started to idle really bad, lose power, struggle at higher revs and just generally being sluggish. When cruising at ~70k's then accelerate it will start to surge..

I'v checked leads and plugs, but what could be the problem? Fuel pump, cats, a dirty sensor?

ALSO around the same time all this started happening, my PS pump oil resevoir came loose and fell into the fan belts causing oil to go all over everything in the engine which meant i needed to do a full degrease of the engine bay.. im hoping its something simple to fix !

well your belts are probly stuffed from the oil, cause they dont like oil at all
Also the surging sounds like fuel filter. When the eng is at high rpm and demanding lotsa fuel it is probly starving and runnig lean there for surging.
Could also be o2 sensors but i think you would notice them throughout the rev range

cheers il check em out, and yeh there was alot of oil on the belts lol.
I had my mechanic run a diagnostic on the computer but no error codes came up, but then agen if it was anything like the buick the o2 sensors culd still b stuffed either way.
