Since I bought my 2000 VX Clubsport the accelerator gets really hard to push down after giving the car about 80-100% throttle.
It lasts about 3 minutes or so after pushing the accelerator flat or close to flat.
I've tried cleaning the throttle body but that hasn't helped.
Any suggestions???
Thankyou.
take traction off! traction is stopping accelerator pedal from going in too far and spinning the wheels. but could be something else.
Yeah, it's with traction control on or off. Makes no difference. Happens after fully depressing accelerator pedal and lasts about 5mins. Is really annoying cos it's like you have to punch the accelerator to get it past the sticky spot...
i reckon it would be something to do with either the spring on the throttle body or the spring on the actual pedal

Actually now that you say it I think you might be right as that's what it feels like. I'm guessing the big one on the pedal.
