Default VT FE2 suspension into an 02 vx v8

I am looking to replace my suspension on my vx calais, as the front shocks are well.. shocked so I think I'd do the whole FE2 thing.

I have a found a set from a VT that are FE2, comes with front struts w/coils and rear coils.

Will these fit into my VX?

my bad if this has been covered - too lazy to sift thru search

    Cheers guys

It will be a pretty much straight swap, the VT and VX suspension assembly are much the same!
There is a good DYI thread right here... VX VU:- How to change shocks and springs

Same shite. Only difference may be the sway bar links as they changed to a different style on VX. Only cost $80 anyways so it's an easy fix

my question is why go older? If you are going to go to all that trouble, I would spend more to get something out of a later model.

you would want from a later model for two reasons
    a. newer/less wear
    2. later revisions have revisions.

    ( I love that 1 and b joke )

The only difference with the front link pins is the bottom of the link that goes on the sway bar is a ball not rubbers/washers. The top is still the same vt-vx-vy

Ok, i may have a found a VY SV6 with fe2 that is being dismantled. Will this fit? Isn't there some v8 springs and then v6 springs? or is fe2 the same across the board

The front springs are a different rate between the V6 and V8.

Ok I got some shocks and springs from apparently a VX SS for 200 bucks posted. I just had a look on the springs the barcode there has number 92048200 on it. Quick search this is for a UTE, will there be an issue here?
