My Whipple Blown VT Senator Signature 220i

[GOTMYN]

Hey everyone,

After much research, 100's of phone calls and E-Mails, I have made a descision.

GOTMYN will arrive at Horse Power Factory (HPF) on Monday morning,
it will be stripped of it's manifold & accessories, and treated with a 750hp Whipple Twin Screw Supercharger. We have planned to run about 9psi, and are hoping for somewhere in the high 350kw region. Torque should start at 1200rpm, Honestly, I'm not sure what to expect, but I can't imagine how slow those 3 days will go next week.

I will be using the already installed Mace CAI as intercooling is not on the cards just yet.
I will also have a stage 2 shift kit Fitted, and Corvette servo.

yes it's the Yella terra Kit with the 750hp 2.4 Whipple :-)

At this stage it looks like HPF are going to film the Kit installment on my car, and Dyno Run's etc,and include it in a coming segment of OZ Garage ch 31, as it is the First Holden Stroker to have a Whipple Fitted.........GOTMYN is gunna be a TV Star...lol....

Car is Ready,
New Centre Bearing is Fitted, Oil/Filter Change done with Castrol edge 10w 60, Cooling system Flush and new Coolant.
Did a general check over everything, Engine mounts are all tight, GOTMYN isn't gunna know what's hit it..lol...
Give it a wash a Vac this arvo as soon as the rain stops, and Deliver it Tomorrow Morning......
This is going to be the longest week of my life, I just know it...lol.....

How do you rate the mace air box/intake? ive been looking at one for my ss to replace the OTR i have at the mo are they worth the $250 price tag?

Hi Mate,

I'd say I should have it finished for around $15k.

I have no gripes about the Mace CAI, but I'd recomend cutting a hole through the inner gaurd to let more air in, I won't cut into the senator, but I do notice a difference with the lid off it!! So the CAI Works, it just needs more Air inlet area......
If I go to the Drags, I will take my Headlight out.... It will work a treat then :-)

Nah MR PSI is owned by Lyle Lemon's Family, he sadly passed away last year at 32 :-(
HPF continued to finish building it in Lyles Honour, and ran it at Summernats, taking out HP Hero with 1700rwhp.
It is currently for sale for $150k.......

They said that it could make 350rwkw, but everything would break around it...lol.
So it will be a conservative 270-280rwkw, but a Torque surge like nothing else :-)

Yeh, MR PSI is absolutely awesome!!
Rob Vickery (HPF Owner) is doing my car himself, he made it his own little project, so I know it will be done PERFECT!!
He said it will crack into the 11's, but I didn't want to be too confident with my signature just yet...lol..

now theres a name we should all be familliar with rob vickery(ttv8) that ute was a weapon and a half, and mate your lucky, i would be as happy,,, no happier than a pig in the preverbial to have someone like rob installing boost under the bonnet of my ss

Hi Mate, No internal Mod's, But the Strokers were a good Bottom end already, just had run of the mill pistons, but I won't be going over 10psi, so they won't be a drama for now.

It hit's the rollers in the morning for a big day of tuning.....
He said they want to run at least 8-10 degrees timing, so that will decide how much boost she will take........

I'm planning on investing in a set of Head Gaskets real soon !!
My first casualty I think!!
