Default Auto vs manual conversion? with power adding modifications

I will need a new gearbox in the future and am considering converting my car to manual. What are peoples opinions on the manual box compared to the auto? I am not after what people would prefer to drive, just which would be better suited to my needs.

I just got a quote for LPG, $5225.00 so gave up on that waste of money, and am going to instead spend it on mods, such as an OTR cold air intake, exhaust, and a tune, maybe a cam as well. This will obviously increase power a bit so which gearbox would be better for these mods? And will a manual need a Heavy duty clutch to cope?

This car is my daily so I want it to be easy to drive and still want to use it to tow sometimes.

    Anyones input?

Ok, anyones opinion on what they prefer to drive or have experience with either. Are the manuals easy to drive? Or are a pain in the leg?

Thanks for that. Will the standard auto hold up to these mods alright, or will I need to beef it up a little. Already planning a large transmission cooler.

Awesome, thanks for that. Will probably just get a new auto, or if I get it rebuilt should I get the corvette servos or a shift kit?
