just wondering if anyone knows whether s pack sway bars are any stiffer than execs or alike?
S pacs have FE2 and at least the front sway bar is different ona VN at least the FE2 one was smaller in diameter. There's a lot of development money goes into what size sway bar goes with what spring rates etc and while the factory stuff is always a compromise it's best to seek some advice before changing one part and not another as it may have a detrimental effect.
I bought a written off super 6 S pack and was wondering if i should bother swapping the sway bars over aswell as the shocks and springs or not. There would have been no point if they were the same. If the front is definatly different and the back is a possibility then i will change them both.
Thanks for the info.![]()
I think you need to check the part numbers with a Holden dealer's spare parts. I'd suggent if you want to put the FE2 on your car you should change the entire front strut and sway bar and also the rear springs, shocks and sway bar.
My car still has part number stickers on the sway bars so you could also have a look and see if both of your cars have any part numbers on these parts.
The rear sway bar is a pain to change . You have to drop the rear crossmember to get to the bolts .
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
I was thinking of dropping the rear crossmember and all its attached components and fitting it up to the other car anyway as this one has an lsd...beats undoing the drive shafts.
