Hey, i had heard from someone, that they had heard from someone at Holden, that when you do performance upgrades to an auto Commodore you need to upgrade the transmission so it can handle the gain in power, i.e. extractors. I wasn't sure if this is true or not, so i thought i'd ask the people on here. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Mate, unless your bolting on some serious power, like forced induction, the trans will be OK.
It doesn't hurt to up the line pressures, either with a tune or say a Stg 2 shift Kit.
Trans will be real crisp and avoid premature wear from slippage between gears.

Thanks for that man. Much appreciated.
Anyone else who can shed some wisdom on this subject?
If it was a 5.0 I could, I have a spare Modified memcal sitting here......

my trans lasted 3 months after my cam install then went boom thanks to the increase in power & torque but since having the built 4l65e installed i haven't had an issue
