Im about to tackle the job of replacing the Radius Rod Bushes in my VT
how do you know the best or suitable Caster setting whilst fitting ?
Anyone know what a fair price is for the kit? better to buy on Ebay or Local Sprint Autos?
Im in Adelaide
Check out this link How To Replace Radius Rod Bushes VT / VZ I bought the nolathane bushes for $190.00 a pair.
The instructions tell you how to set the caster .
there are three types of people in the world , those who can count and those who can't
I found "A" Kit on Ebay for $130ish...
not sure if im buying the right product ?
I could send a link for you to check and give advice maybe?
My radius rod bushes were a little soft, with one starting to leak oil, so i was going to get the kit and do the job myself, when I decided to just get a quote, for curiosity.
Local Pedders quoted $660 to replace the 4 rod bushes and the 2 control arm bushes and give it a wheel alignment after.
Then got a quote from the local Bridgestone dealer....$430 all up, including alignment, using Nolathane parts.
Also, if the large damper front bushes need replacing, the smaller rear ones along with the control arm inner bush will also be pretty sagged and tired as well, though it won't be quite as evident. Do the lot to freshen up the front end.
Ive been quoted $300 to replace the front Radius Rod Bushes
or buy the kit for $130 and do it myself
and a Wheel Alignment for $35 with I am Due for anyway
It seems easy enough with the detailed "How To" from Dayvo . So i'll give it a go soon
Ill just have to reset the Caster to what it was
I got quoted $350 to get the castor rod bushes done today. Knocked back the quote. Thinking I will do it myself.
