do extractors for a vx ecotec fit a vx supercharged v6? aparently genie or redback have no seperate part numbers for the 2 different cars but ive heard ( on here i think actualy) that there is a slight difference were the fit up to the manifold. any expert answers??
Essentially they are the same, except the non supercharged has an EGR fitting and the supercharged one doesn't. Some brands use slightly bigger primaries on supercharged extractors too. You can use the N/A ones on the S/C car as long as the EGR fitting isn't actually drilled through. As a matter of interest, I do both.
ok cheers kinda helps , tho i dont know what egr fitting is.. shed some light?
Exhaust Gas Reticulation Valve - recycles unburnt fuels into the manifold to be reburnt. An emissions requirement and tool, some recommend to close if off with benefits of cooling the intake charge, or so it goes. Although the car will not pass emissions anymore.
ok thanks for the info
