    Default VX series 2

    Hi Everyone

Newbie here and first post. I am going to attempt to change the serpentine belt on my VX series 2 due to squealing noise, and was wondering if a need a torque wrench at all during the change. I have read a few other post about changing the belt and everyone seems to agree that it is a pretty simple job but one of my friends mentioned that the tension pulley may require a torque wrench. No mention of this in other posts. Is this correct or will a socket do the job?
    Cheers

No torque wrench required. Just socket/spanner on tensioner bolt and twist to pull loosen tension, and replace belt.

Make sure you draw a diagram of how the belt goes on first.

Easy belt to change like acarmody said if you put pressure downwards on the bolt of the tensioner it should move down and let the slack off the belt.
