Exclamation bcm ticking under dash, no electrics, neeeed help

guys i need some serious help here,
ive read up a bit on a few threads of ticking bcms under the dash but my problem it seems is determined to drive me up the farking wall..
With the battery hooked up, the bcm makes a ticking noise as if its in lockup, but ive removed the appropriate fuse countless times with no luck.. I put the key in, still ticks, i turn to acc and the ticking stops, but the dash lights come on for a split second then fade out to nothing. I put my foot on the brake and the ticking stops. Its givin me the shits wondering if anybody would have a solution. Would be greatly appreciated.as i want this god dam piece of shit running =p

You sure it's not a relay ticking... Possibly a faulty relay on the BCM itself? Is it a MID or a LUX BCM in your car cos I have a spare LUX one you could compare with.

yeah it might be mate but how will i know? will i just take out all the relays one by one under the steering wheel and itl stop ticking at the one that karked it? its def ticking from the panel underneath the steering wheel, havent actually tried taking out the relays from there yet.
and no clue what type of bcm it is, are MID and LUX brands? :S
    lol its a 02 vx ss s2

It could be one of the relays under your dash. Could also be a relay actually soldered into the board inside the BCM. I'd swap around relays under your dash with the same model numbers on them and see if anything changes when you do (this could point to a faulty relay). MID and LUX are different types of BCMs designed to handle different things. I'd say an SS would have a MID BCM.

Also try disconnecting your battery terminals completely for an hour or so and then refitting them

You might have to start from the beginning. Have you done anything to the car or did it just start ticking?
