VT GTS Interior Lighting and Premium Sound

Hey guys,

though you might be the best to ask about this issue.

Just bought a VT GTS and still getting to know everything inside and out. The first thing is the interior lighting from the factory. It has all the provisions for Map lights from the rear view mirror, and also for the vanity mirror lights on each sun visor. Are these supposed to work or are they there just for the hell of it. the plugs are there and there are globes in everything but the plugs aren't connected.
Also on Lighting, is there supposed to be footwell lighting from the factory as well?

Secondly, I have the premium sound system option and the stereo just doesnt sound the sum of its parts. I have had a play around with the amps in the boot and the "boost" switch and HPF switches. Anyone got a good setup for all these options? or is it just pot luck and fiddle around until your happy.

I know i might be asking a lot, but i just want the car to be as good as it can be from the factory.
