VX steering wheel radio controls

Can anyone with working radio controls on a VX tell me whether they're meant to illuminate when you turn your lights on? If they are can you tell me whether you can replace globes in them or whether the whole units have to be replaced?

I just went out and checked my VX berlina, mine dont light up! I dont ever remember them lighting up. The Mute button on my controls has fallen off, so i had a quick look in there, couldnt see and globes or LEDs. I also had a quick look through my repair manual at the wiring diagrams, I couldnt find anything about lights in them...

Im going to go with no, they dont light up!

yeah they dont light up, the wrighting on them is just printed on

VX controls don't light up....don't quote me on it but im 99% sure it wasn't until the VY they bought the illuminated controls in on the upper spec models.

It might (with abit of stuffing around) be possible to fit a vy steering wheel + airbar + controls + clock spring and do abit of wiring to get the illuminated controls working.

even if they did have them pre-2002... your executive wouldnt have them
