I'm currently in the process of removing my intake manifold. All is going well except for the removal of the heater inlet pipe. Its the metal piece that you have to remove in order to remove your drive belt tensioner. Tried a few different ways to get the f#$#@er out but in the end brute force won and it snapped in half. Now I still cant get the tensioner off (unless I snap off the other end) and still have it jammed in the sleeve.
Any suggestions ?
P.S - I have removed everything else but i cant get the manifold to come off unless the drive belt tensioner is off, because it in the way.
you will find two bolts under the alternator (alternator comes of with the pulley assembly)
then undo the nuts remove using a bar carefully the pipe that sits there (needs to be manuevered towards the front of car)
then remove the bolts the nuts were on after this carefully wriggle the unit away and the pipe that goes under the alternator will come out replace o rings when installing
i also undid the alternator bolts just to give some leeway
Holla If Ya Here Me
Thanks for the reply mate, I managed to get it off, using a large screw driver, swinging bar and a shitload of crc. Just gotta swing past a wreckers and get a replacement.
