Hi there, Im having a problem with my clutch... i had a new clutch fitted in Jan this yr, but its making this really horrible squeeling noise still.. I know i should have had it looked at by now but it was out of rego for a few months so i thought it might have just gone away (lol).
It only really makes this noise until the car warms up, and its like shocking in 1st and 2nd, its also going through alot of clutch fluid.
I just want to be able to have an idea of what im talking about when i take it to have it looked at... so i dont get treated like the dumb chick and they tell me im going to have to get yet another one fitted, im hoping thats not the case anyways as i dont really have another $1000 to go through the whole procedure again!
Anyways thanx sorry its long.. and ideas as to what it could be??
i had the same problem with my car mate, but mine went away after like 2 weeks haha. i think it was the oil, do a nice service and it and change all oils and that and see how you go, the oil could be old and thick or the completely wrong oil so its too thick and only thins out once its warm.
Hi
Best thing would be to take it back to where you got the clutch done.. and show them what its doing
i doubt you would be hit up for another clutch.. unless you weren't being sensible during the wearing in process haha
Throw-out bearing maybe? Should be replaced everytime you have the box out. Sometimes when I start my car is makes a squeeling noise. Cant be bothered fixing it until I have the box out next.
your talking about the spiggott(however its spelled) bearing? i know it makes a squelling noise when you start it as it was doing it before i got my clutch done and stopped after.. but i dunno if it would do it constantly until the cars warmed up...
