My VT S has a rattling driver's door window. I have electric windows. Took it to Holden who charged my $200 to "fix" it but it still rattles. Any ideas?
For $200 I'd take it back to Holden and demand they fix it or refund your money and take it elsewhere.
Yeah i have a VT s pack does exact same thing , i took the door panel off and still coulnt find wat was rattlin , just turn the music up !!!
I have a vx series 2 and the drivers window rattles, i asked for the mech to look at it at service but when i picked it up the service manager told me that they lubed all of the runners etc, but it was still there and that with the vt/vx series quite a large number of the sedans had a window rattle of some description, he simply said it was a design fault.
Hi guys its the same problem with my VX Series -2 on front left door. Guys i fixed it in following way: pull ur window to top and then lower it a bit, mean to say just relieve the tight glass. I will not rattle.
regards
If lowering your window works in stopping the noise then check the felt guides that the window sits in. I have heard that the felts can often slip down a little which causes the window to rattle/vibrate when the window is fully shut.Originally Posted by Saint
I have a rattle in my driver side door but it is not the window rattling as I have tried with the window open and it still rattles. Mine is in the door somewhere and it is driving me nuts! I think IŽll have to take the door apart but I donŽt expect to fix it.....
I think it has something to do with the window mechanisms that is making the noise, and the mechanics at the holden dealership cannot get rid of it.
After some "testing" this morning my noise is the top of the door itself. While driving over bumps I found that if I wedged the top of my finger between the door seal and the door the noise would totally disappear...lol...now to find a more permanent solution.... ;-)
