I had my VT services earlier this year and part of the service included replacing the front brake pads replaced. After this I have noticed a rubbing noise in the front right wheel as I drive.
At first I thought that perhaps the rotor was warped or the machining of the rotor wasn't done well. The noise has never got any worse, but I have been thinking that it could be a dodgy wheel bearing.
Any thoughts guys?![]()
without seeing it and hearing it, who knows, could be anything, all we are doing is guessing. take wheel off and see if anything is rubbing around the area.
wheel bearing is a grinding noise and gets louder with increase of speed and gets worse over time! if you get something replaced/fixed at a mechanics shop and then it makes weird noises take it straight back asap.. if you take your time then your decreasing your chances of being able to blame it on them.. where as if your take it straight away they cant say anythinggotta love working at a dealership and seeing behind the scenes =P
Yeh take it back to the machaic....
They can do some dogy work!!
Once I took my car into machaic....With 4 lock nuts fitted...
When i got it back only had 3 lock nuts fitted....And a differant nut only finger tight!!!!
As this is all that i could see...
So from than all the work on my car i do or if i can't do it i will get a mobile machaic..
I always watch what they are doing!!!
