I know that motor oil breaks down over time but does the same apply to transmission fluid? I have a sealed container of dexron 3 (111) which is 4 years old. Is it still usable with no damage to my transmission?

when oil is sealed it doesnt really go off as such. its when its open to atmosphere it absorbs moisture, thats when it deteriorates.
you should be safe using it
