Default Changing from V6 to V8

    hey guys and girls,

would like to know how much it would cost to change out the v6 and put a v8 in my VT? i can get a 5.7l for $3000 that has 50,000km on it and comes with wiring loom, ecu and gearbox. What else do i need maybe my speedo set for a 8?

    Cheers Adam,

Labour will be the biggest component. In your situation I'd just sell the existing car and buy one with a factory V8. Would probably save you a fortune in time and money.

And it will need to a engineers certificate as the car did come out as a v8 unless you wana risk it , probably not a big deal but thought i would throw it out there.

As mentioned before, sorry to give the same generic answer but it will save you a lot of money and hassles. VT's already come with 5.7 LS1's sell your car and buy one with v8 already in it.
