Hows it going guys new member,my vt has batt diconnected is locked and bonnet closed, cannot unlock manually with keys is this prob with car or security measure?Would have thought you should still be able to unlock with key despite no battery.Cheers
put the key in the door lock, turn clockwise until it clicks and you should be able to open the door,
the door lock wont pop up but it should still open
Chev badges are an instant fail
when my battery died, i couldnt get into my car, tried the boot, the door all manually but no success, u will need to break in to your car, or get a mate who knows how, luckily i knew a mate who got into mine. maybe RACQ (the equivalent in WA) might be able to help

If you have deadlocked the doors with the remote before disconnecting the battery, then you could have a problem.

Probably easiest solution for that is to put car on chassis stands, get a spare battery and some jumper leads and you should be able to reach the positive battery cables from underneath.

i did exactly this, i blew a fuse, like one of main fuses in the engine bay (cant remember exactly), so none of my electrics worked. so i borrowed the same fuse out of my mums vt wagon just to make sure everything was still alright (i blew it by accidently short circuiting, so i knew it probably wasn't going to happen again, just wanted to know i hadn't screwed something), checked everything was fine, deadlocked the doors to make sure it worked, but i forgot to unlock them again, so i pulled out the fuse, put it back in my mums car, closed the bonnet, then realised i had no way of getting back in the car.
Called RACV, the guy came out with a fuse for me, he couldnt open the door locks (so good to know the factory deadlocking actually works well), so he popped the bonnet from underneath the car, put the fuse in and all was good.![]()
Go and 'borrow' one of the inmates from your local juvenile detention center, they will soon pop the locks open!.....LOL
