VT Aftermarket oil pump best choice

Hi
I need to replace my oil pump so I'm wondering if I replaced mine with an aftermarket oil pump would be any better? and if yes what's the best one should I go for. (it's daily drive)

I tried to look for some on the internet and the only way to find some is by searching for ls1 oil pumps.

I went to to get the original oil pump and they told me it's gonna cost me a 1000$ !!!!! that's lots of money. so I would get a better one since I might spend that much of money on the original one.


actually they asked for more but anyway I'm gonna replace it, and found myself a good one but what should i get as well to replace while replacing the pump? I mean gaskets and what else?

i bought melling oil pump, front cover seal, water pump gasket, oil pan gasket, timing chain and crank bolt.
