    Default climate control, how does it work need to know for climate control conversion

    Hey guys i am doing climate control conversion to my car ,1st option i will have to change the whole loom to a berlina loom with abs in which my car dons't have and wondering if that would cause me dash light issues if left unplug ,2 spider climate control module into excisting loom now my question is anyone that has climate control will be able to answer this for me ,when the auto button is switch on what does that control, does it control the fan speed automatically from low to high in air-con mode and heater mode and also does it shut of the fan off when desired temp is reach.
    I have work out how to spider the whole loom into stock loom ,my only problem is to figure out how i am going to start aircon, as it is started via the serial data wire from climate control module.

    Now i can either just make a small switch that turns the air con on or if any tech heads out there would know how to make or bypass this to triger a relay let me know , the only problem with that either you have to go a full heater box swap or ill try and make a kit to control the standard box with the climate control vacuum box ,so if anybody can let me know how the auto functions does please let me know as i am starting it tommorow.

    cheers bhopper

    I am sorry. I have to post here. I have no help to your specific issue above. But what I can say is this;

    You will get alot more replies if you try to use paragraphs, correct spelling and proof read. Im not saying you have to be perfect, but that whole shebang above is terrible and it is one of the hardest posts to try and follow.

    I doubt alot of people will try to read through it and help you out. I got halfway through and didn't bother reading the remainder.

    My fingers are crossed for you though and I do hope you get the help which you require.

    My guess is that you will need to change the heater box and use the climate loom to run it.

    The Climate system works (in the VN to VS) auto or manual. It uses the 4 sensors to function. Sun sensor (for when the clouds come), Amb temp sensor, internal sensor and water temp sensor on the climate water pipe entry. The auto system uses these to change the air flow depending on the set temp (you set this) and cloud cover. When on auto and the car is cold it wont blow any air. Then will direct to floor when it starts to warm up. It will not blow cold air in your face.

    In manual mode it will blow cold air at your face

    Hey 88 thanks for the reply yeah the vn to vs are a bit different to the vt they dont run on the sunlight sensor from what i gathered and no water temp sensor unless that what it gets from the bcm through the serial data wire ,but i am guna try the whole loom change to see if that works without the abs playing games with the dash lights as myn dosent have abs ,but i have figured out how to wire it all into a stock loom its just getting the air con to switch on via the switch on the module as it is switch on via the serial data wire which i am guessing sends a signal to the bcm to switch it on as where the standard one is just triggered with 12 v ,

    i have a climate control box here was just looking at wiring it into the stock loom so i dont have drams with the abs as i dont have it and just wondering if it will think it playing up and make the dash light up ,do you know weither the bcm or pcm can be change to not having abs programmed into it if that is the case might go and see Dr Bob and get him to change it,

    i emailed him but havent heard back yet ,other than that if i didnt want to run aircon its easy to wire up and run as my aircon need regasing anyway so dosent work .

    THe fan speed controller is different in climate controlled units, also you need the vacuum driven controllers for all flaps (standard unit is driven by mechanical rods) - and the servo that controls the vacuum of course. Biggest single job is replacing the heater box (full dash out proposition) after which you will need to regas the a/c. The evaporator temp sensor and ambient temp sensor are pretty easy, so is the sunlight sensor - and I think that is pretty much about it after you get the bcm wiring sorted.

    The good news is that it can, and has been done. Lotsa work though. Is it worth it? I know how good climate control is - I'm a big fan - but this is a major undertaking!

    hey fletch yeah well i have to do my heater core it shit itself the reson im am asking is the the climate control module send the air con signal through sdi so if it could be reprogrammed to trigger air con i am done that my only problem is to trigger the air con as the standard bcm is triggered through 12v to low level bcm whers the high level bcm is is triggered through the sdi so thats my only problem doing it if i didnt care about aircon i would do it but would like to investigate it ,also i have a climate control heater box here ,also the reason i am asking is that my v6 spac dosent have abs in so if i did a whole berlina loom change with abs wiring in it i am worried that the dash light might come on ,but it might not because the dash has no communication line as such from abs becos its not plugged in so if dr bob can change the setting so i dosent reconise abs i will do the loom change if not i try and do something i am waiting on a reply from a few guys that have tech 2 to see what can be turned on and off .

    also do you knwo of anypost that say that it has been done if so can you give me the links to page.

    cheers
