Front brake pads moving in caliper ????

need help to try and rectify a prob i have with both inner pads in the frt calipers of my vt2,both inner pads lh and rh both move about 2-3 mm in the calipers and create a rattling noise over bumps in road,just replaced the pads and have checked that rattle clips seemed to be installed correctly,any ideas on what else it could be or where i can get new rattle clips without having to buy a set of genuine pads,the bendix ones are only 4 weeks old but the noise is really starting to piss me off.....

I *think* that the clips only come with the genuine pads.
