hey guys i've recently got hold of a vx series 2 rear irs cradle complete with LSD and am in the process of putting it into my vt berlina, however i ran into problems with my rear brakelines, where they change from hardlines to the softline going into the calliper there is the 10mm screw adapter, i had to use a hacksaw to cut the metal hardline to get the cradle off cos there was absolutely no way of undoing those line joiner things, all i did wad completely strip the 10mm nut on both sides of the car.
just wondering if anyone else has attempted this and had the same problem?
and can those adapter screw things be bough separately to the hardline? cos i dont really want to go buy complete ne brakelines if i dont have to.
any help greatly appreciated
Have a look at this VY irs into a VT maybe it would have been easier to unbolt the calipers and tie them up out of the way while you removed the cradle then just bolt them back on after you installed the new one .
