    Default vt motor?

well just got back from the mechanics after the car ran like shit after putting new plugs in and having it run like shit, they say there's oil leaking into the radiator? which means the the motor is rooted apparently and they said with the car having 280,000k's on it its a waste of time fixing it and that i should replace the the motor. How much am i looking at for a replacement motor and getting that put in?

between $500,$1000 bucks ive seen them going for, then a couple hundred for labour if your gonna get someone else to fit it.

^^ sounds about right. Try the wreckers as they often have a fitting service for second hand motors.

sounds like a head rebuild but more then likely a head to be replace if you have kept driving it,
his right there getting cheap now just replace the hole thing with that many k's on it.

Hey i know what your going through but unless you can see the engine in car you would never know how many klms are on it and 2 from experience when they say theres bugger all klms on it somthing must be wrong unless it come out of a crashed car that been sitting in a yard for a while ,i got my misses sister a motor that supposably had 60 thou on it and ever since the day i started it, smokes a bit runs fine but smokes a bit so who know ,10 000 only just ran in or is it 10,000 since a rebuild these are things we have to worry about when we buy engines.
