So im driving my folks VT Olympic the other night, trying to impress my mates at the lights like a ********, pretending to drag my other friend in his BA XR6.

So im revving pretty high (5 or 6,000) and the lights go green, being too impatient I pop it into drive do a massive wheel spin that blows smoke like nuts (didn't realize it would be so intense)....FLYING off the mark (these babys have power!!) when all of sudden I get a jolt and a clunk and there goes the gear box.

The light and all that shit came up so i parked on the side of the road, waited half an hour for the RACV truck DURING THE WORLD CUP FINAL!!!! which is what I was waiting up for at 3:30am Monday morning.......so im like, well **** that...turn on the car and drive off...and its like nothing ever happened.




SOOOOOOOO what should I do? wait another 5k kms untill the 190K service is due, or take it into the mechanic now?

I also cooked the brakes on the way down Mt Dandenong (now they screech like crazy) and it overheated but then went straight down. Im kind of running this car to the shits.....oops


(sorry for the eassay!) I get approved for the finance for my own VX S tomorrow so I can stop ****ing my mums car up.

This will save you a lot of trouble with gear boxes.. but oviosuly things need to be strengthend before you go out doing shit. neways keep the racing for the track and the driving for the road matey... I highly suggest you go and get your new VX, take it home to your parents and swap them the VT for the VX.
YOU f**cked the VT, YOU fix it.

The gears feel fine now, just a bit of lag going into fourth. Calling the mechanic today.

I must say that I love how everyone here love their commies as much as they do, its great, truly!

Dont get me wrong people, I love cars too and keep them in good nic and treat them well 95% of the time. For one day I decided to be a fool and evidently the results show (Telling you all about it like I did was a lesson learned). The brakes arent cooked, they just screech a bit when under pressure....I was going down Mt Dandenong with a 4WD up my ass, I was under pressure. So yes, chill.

When I get my VX, sleep easy because I am sure I will love it like mad...making sure Tyre pressure is even all round, fluids are up etc etc.
