Hi guys ,the wife went to leave for work today,
the VT made a loud clunk noise as soon as she twisted the key
so now when you twist the key you can feel/see the starter try to turn the motor but its not happening(motor will not move at all)
tried a fresh battery =same problem
what should i be looking for?

1. Check the power and earth to the battery, clean the terminals.
2. Put a shifter on the harmonic balancer bolt and try turn the motor over. Could be siezed but i doubt it.
3. Check the earth and power cables on the starter motor. Sometimes they come loose.
4. Change the starter motor.
All the drive belts are on yeh stupid question but still..? Clunk sounds wierd as.. iv never heard of that before
Just been out and chacked the oil and its milky
any advise on where to get some reco heads?

might just be head gaskets??unknown tho till you pull them of and test but just maybe 1 or more cylinder is full of water and she has started to hydrolic.hard to say without looking but if you take out your plugs and try turning it over see if any water comes out..just a thought.
Did you try and turn the motor over by hand or what? If its hydrolocked then you could need more than just a set of reco heads lol.
yeah i turn it over by hand, and it was really hard on one cylinder but top dead center on the other five felt fine
i got it going(running rough)
and when i chek the oil thismorning oil is milky
so i guess the next step is to take the heads off and see what im dealing with?
kk will do
thanks again for the help fellas
