    Default vt-vx boot

so i like the look of the red monaro lights and vx boot garnish

however ive decided that i dont wanna take the spoiler off and wanna just buy a white vt boot and put on a vx boot garnish or a vx boot with garnish.. so i can change my boot over if i dont like it.

wondering wat u guys think of this and also this might be a dumb questions but wat bout the locking and unlocking the boot from my remote will it matter if i change boots??

As for the look, it's up to you, it's your car.

For the unlocking, I'm not 100%, but don't the VT boots have to be opened by the key in the lock? I know VX's are popped from the button on the key, so i'd imagine that being your only problem. Unless of course you hook up a solenoid into the VT boot, then you can just button pop both .

hey mate, pretty sure that its the computer within the car registers when you press the boot button on the key, and that just unlatches the lock attached to the boot. as long as you have the lock on the boot wired into the stock wires that comes through, you should have no worries with a new boot lid.

    hope this helps

i done this to my vt berlina and my nerigbour done it to his vt SS both white and personally without the spoiler looks a lot better but here is a pic anyway of mine and i would be pretty sure the boots will be a very simple change over.
