Default Power Windows in a VU

Hey guys my dad has a VU ute for business and the power windows stopped working. It's happened before and he paid someone to fix it which was very expensive so i tried to see whats wrong with it today. I've checked the cabin fuse box and for some reason there was no fuse for the power window. Could this be the problem? But then it's worked just till now? How hard is it to replace to window motor?

Has anyone else had problems with their power window?

Hey there ,firstly need to know does the passenger side window go down ,have you tried both of them ,also if both of them wont work its guna be a power issue so i guess try changing the relays over for the windows and go from there , get back to us we all usually can figure the problem out.

Ok I've got the window to go up buy pulling apart the door and hooking up an external power source to the relay. But with out the extra power it wont move at all so it won't come down.

I'm guessing it's the switch area? would it be hard to fix??

hey there so does the other windows work or just the drivers playing up ,no there not hard to fix or pull apart if you have the patiants for it very fiddly but they can come apart i just did my with leds so you will need a small flat head and you will need to get the external housing off by pushing the 4 tabs 2 at front and 2 at back ones you have that off and can see the switches all you need to do is use the small flat head and sought of get them of the little round plastic that alows them to rock and they will come off best way to do is is ever so softly pry them of the little plastic tabs and pull them back, light when you you switch to get them to go up and when you are done the same way little round tab go in the front of the switch then try get them back on the tabs.

    hope that helps.
