Greetings all, just thought i would drop in and say hi, since i have been lurking in the back ground learning all i could prior to buying my ute.
Last week i ended up buying the 2002 VU II in QLD (had my bro check it out for me) then drove it back home to south coast NSW.
When i picked it up, it was totally stock standard. Within the week that i have owned it, i had blue slipped it, then lowered it with King Super Lows front and rear (with original shocks) and tinted the windows. I am a firm believer in keeping it simple, no body kits, fancy mags or amssive stereo.
How it looked the day i picked it up.
Today after lowering it and getting the windows done on the way home from the gong.
Hope you guys enjoy the pics.
Cheers Jesterarts,
I have been lurking around looking for a good ute for a fair while now
and once this one popped up on the scene, i grabbed it as soon as i could.

looks good man, id just lower the rear a little more then it will sit perfect
I'm pretty happy with the height at the rear as i do plan to through stuff in there from time to time.
Besides that i also have a toy sitting in the garage that i take out every now and then.
It is fine if i am the only one in the car, but if there is someone in there with me, then we hit every bump on the road.

Hahah that bug would be an awesome cruiser, nice clean ute i like it. Maybe some new wheels? I know you said you wernt after anything fancy but maybe just some nice 17 or 18's? Anyways welcome to the forums bud![]()
Cheers mate,
The bug is a great cruiser and turns many heads when i take it out and thankfully the cops seem to leave me alone.
I have been toying with the idea of some VT Clubsport 18's,
but that will be a little further down the track if i decide to go with them.
But for the time being, the 17's on there now will have to do.
Lee.
Thats pretty good mate, I have a mate who picked up a vu storm for about 14 and over 130 thousand on the clock and wasnt as clean as yours
good buy lopks good where did you get the springs done and how much did it cost
G'day CJR
i got the springs done at Selby's in nowra.
the springs were $600 installed and alligned.
Lee.
nice buy champ, looks tidy.. good taste to i must say... i bought my VU about 6 weeks ago, stock except for the exhaust
can't stand how high mine sits at the back so i'm gonna do the king springs thing as well
hows the ride quality & did u get the camber kit for the rear?
G'day mate,
good taste........bloody great taste!!!
The ride quality is great, it's no calais, but it is great for a commercial vehical.
Yes i got the camber kit for the rear, that set me back an extra $400 on top of the spring price.
I am prettty happy with the way that it is at the moment, though the hillbilly bar on the back might need to go in the near future.
Lee.
Finally decided to get rid of the hillbilly bar and go for the cleaner look.
This will have to do untill i get the funds to put a hard cover on.
Lee.

Stupid people are like Slinky's!
They're fun to watch when you push them down the stairs.
looks good man!
Cheers Demuck,
It is coming along slowly.
I have some leather trim pieces on their way aswell as an SS front bar.
I am still in the market for some Black Leather Monaro seats to complete the picture.
