Thread: need help with my 2000 vt wagon !!!!!!!!

    Angry need help with my 2000 vt wagon !!!!!!!!

    hi,
    my brake is sticking on the drivers side rear wheel ( but only on the outer side brake pad, the inner side is fine). the pad wore and started to cut into the brake disc. so i changed my calapa, pads and discs. but 2 months later im am faced with the same problem. i was told it must of been a faulty calapa so did the same process again. but now ithas done it again ???? what shud i do next ???? any advise wud B great ...

    flush and bleed your brake system. if there is an air bubble or old thick oil it will cause the problem.

    I had same problem on my hiace
    One front pad would wear down heaps quicker than the others
    The machanic changed the brake line......But i can't see it fixing it...But he said he done a check and it was blocked

    Yeah do a brake fluid flush, and as above make sure there are no air bubbles, it isn't that hard to you sinc you already changed a calaper

    like the other blokes say a flush may do the job but if you have a blockage it may not clear when flushed. if you disconnect the brake lines & blow high pressure air through each line to ensure they are clear,reconnect,fill rebleed etc & see how you go. the fact its happened twice after replacing the caliper only leaves the possibilty of a line blockage somewhere. the chances of having two dud calipers is possible but a little unlikely
