exhaust swap

hey guys

anyone interested in doing a straight swap... my sports exhaust on my current VT S pack for a standard exhaust?

i bought the car a few months ago and it already came lowered with a sports exhaust, but im sick of the sports exhaust, so im offering just a straight swap for a standard one, if anyone with a v6 ecotec is interested?

im in the south eastern suburbs of victoria, let me know if you are interested

I would, but im in WA and pretty sure my mate has thrown it out when i put my sports exhaust on, but i can check and see.

haha like i said mate, all i know is that its a sports exhaust and sounds quite nice, it was on the car when i bought it a couple of months ago, but neighbours around me, parents and stuff hate it and want it gone so i need a standard one. i have a mate who is willing to do it, but hasnt heard the system yet. if he doesn't want it, you're more than welcome to it.

Shame you not on QLD/NSW boarder, I have my old standard one collecting dust lol does it have extractors ? if not its a simple unbolt from the cat, then just remove the rubbers that hold the rest of the exhaust on

nah pretty sure it doesnt have extractors... thats what i thought it was
if i was on my p's and had nothing better to do, i probably would have done the trip for it haha, oh well, its hopefully getting sorted this w/e weather permitting
gonna be interesting having a vt and a vx in the air in the driveway :P

so... went to do the exhaust swap with a mate today, and apparently a vt exhaust is different to a vx, it is hitting on something underneath the car... dammit!

thinking about biting the bullet and going to buy a standard exhaust from a wreckers, and then selling my sports one on here or ebay, unless anyone near by me (in croydon) wants to do a swap with me in the next week?

go to an exhaust shop and ask them if they have any stock ones in the bin that you can have

Hey there no super6 exhaust are different they are the same as a v8 and you could probably just go to pick apart or jollies in dandy and get one cheap im always at jolly's but give me the shits that paople that go in there are so reckless and just ruin shit to get the part there after .

i might just go to pick a part tomorrow, they said $65 for the part i want, then i could chuck my sports exhaust on ebay
just sucks though, could have done a straights swap with someone and not have to worry about any finances

oh.... strange.. i figured exhaust between VT and VX would be the same? Since when you go to buy one on ebay they are the same... Sure his car wasnt a Super6?

Well i got a exhaust from a bloke and it was fitted to a VT, and fitted it to my VX no worries. so not sure whats happened mate.

yeah im pretty sure the vx one would have fitted mine fine, but the after market one wouldnt fit, but only just... it was a bit weird that it didnt, but oh well.

went to the wreckers and got a standard exhaust... neighbours and parents are happy now.
still have the exhaust sitting here, if you want or know someone who wants a sports exhaust i have it sitting in the shed.
will consider doing a swap for a nice exhaust tip to put on the exhaust i have now (the sports exhaust has my nice tip welded on it) if someone is willing to pick it up

let me know if there is any interest, if not, im ebaying it
